Addiction is a serious disease but cure is possible. Forty days stay in hospital is advised. After the withdrawal period an intensive programme of Group and Hpynosis Therapy is insitiuted.

The relevant commandments of Islam against Addiction are pointed out. Patients are also encouraged to offer regular prayers and adopt a religious life inside and out-side the hospital. All substances of Addiction including tobacco in every form is prohibited during the stay in the hospital, in order to remove all minor and major addictions and habituations. Psychiatric problems are also treated.

Most patients avoid admission into a drug abuse Centre, because of the fear of a very painful with drawal. For an easy withdrawal, Analgesics are used in adequate doses.

Moral and Religious Education

A CLINICAL Psychologist also conducts group Psychotherapy sessions which include “Role Playing And Self Hypnosis”, along with discussions to provide insight into the harmful physical, mental and social aspects of the drugs, and to motivate the patients to quits.

In order to bring about a permanent change in the persons we have arranged for an Islamic Scholar who gives the patients religious education, in the light of Quran and the sayings of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) The patients are also persuaded to offer all the prayers in congregation.

Islamic Activities

The Patients, on discharge, are also guided to become members of the Islamic organization of their choice, and encouraged to participate in its activities and thus acquire new wholesome friendship and save themselves from their old addict companions and at the same time engage in constructive work. Social workers are assigned to introduce patients to such Islamic Organization and to keep meeting them to make sure they are participating in the activities of the organizations.
